Accessibility
The Wicked Bazaar aims to create and foster an environment where everyone is welcome and participation is inclusive; regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual or gender orientation, abilities, or creed.
We understand that COVID-19 and other viruses run rampant and to encourage an inclusive environment for our community, we aim for safer practices at our events. This means that hand sanitizer and masks will always be available, and we encourage our community members to use them. Please reach out to a staff member should you have concerns or questions about safer spaces at our events.
As we descend into the longest night of the year, our Dark Solstice event remains committed to ensuring that every guest can take part in the experience with comfort, dignity, and ease.
This is a standing party with limited seating however there will be seating available. If you need a seat please email us when purchasing your ticket.
Our venue is fully accessible, with gendered accessible washrooms as well as a universal all-gender washroom for anyone who prefers additional privacy or support. The space features step-free access throughout, including elevator and escalator routes to the taproom’s lower level. Ample seating is available to rest and relax.
The main event takes place on the second floor, which is served by six elevators, each equipped with touch-pad call systems and push-button disability access options, supporting guests with low mobility, low vision, or blindness.
To support a range of sensory and neurological needs, our entertainment and lighting systems have been vetted for their suitability for guests with neurological conditions, including those sensitive to strobing, flashing, or intense visual effects. Care has been taken to ensure a safe, comfortable environment without surprise sensory triggers.
A quiet space will also be available in the lobby/foyer, offering a low-stimulus area for guests who may need a break from sound, light, or crowds at any point during the evening.
(In addition, we offer Described Audio and ASL interpretation upon request. Guests can indicate these needs directly during the ticket-booking process, allowing us to prepare in advance and ensure an inclusive, immersive experience for all who join us for the turning of the season.)
If you have any access needs not listed here, please reach out, we are committed to making this night accessible to everyone who wishes to gather with us in the dark and turn the wheel into the new year
We are continually working toward making our venue locations accessible for all those with mobility limitations. We have volunteers and staff on site at all events to ensure that should you require mobility assistance, we are there to help. Please contact us prior to our Wicked Bazaar events should you have any questions about mobility accessibility. We can be reached at hello@thewickedbazaar.com.
