Step into a world where winter’s longest nights shimmer with magic, mystery, and shadowed elegance. The Dark Solstice Masquerade invites you to celebrate the solstice in a realm where frost-kissed beauty meets enchanting darkness. Beneath candlelit chandeliers and drifting snowlight, guests arrive masked and adorned in opulent winter attire. Velvets, metallics, icy silvers, deep forest tones, and glimmering jewels. The evening unfolds with hauntingly beautiful music, immersive performances, and decadent seasonal fare inspired by old-world winter feasts. Wander through themed winter gardens, sip enchanted cocktails, and lose yourself in the alchemy of masks, moonlight, and midwinter magic. This is a night of transformation, enchantment, and celebration. This is a gathering where the veil of winter opens, and the solstice becomes a spell.

A New Year’s Eve Party Beneath the Longest Night

December 31st, 2025 • 9PM – 2AM

🕯 The Great Hall of Winter — waltz beneath snowflakes candles and evergreen garlands.

🍷 The Solstice Feast — a banquet of warmth and wonder, from roasted delicacies to sweet confections.

🎻 Live Orchestra & DJ — from haunting strings to jubilant midnight revelry.

🎭 Masquerade Contest — for the most regal, ethereal, and unforgettable attire.

🕰 The Midnight Rite — as the year turns, a breathtaking ritual of light, snow, and renewal fills the the room.

🌌 Attire
Formal masquerade dress in the colours of winter: Deep emerald, silver, ivory, black, and midnight blue. Masks required. cloaks, crowns, and velvet are encouraged. Channel your inner Winter Monarch, forest spirit, or enchanted noble.

Donation drive in support of Mutual Aid Society. More info to come on this.

$125 which includes passed appetizers, late night snacks and desserts, one glass of sparkling wine and the most spell binding entertainment a witch could experience.

As we descend into the longest night of the year, our Dark Solstice event remains committed to ensuring that every guest can take part in the experience with comfort, dignity, and ease.

This is a standing party with limited seating however there will be seating available. If you need a seat please email us when purchasing your ticket.

Our venue is fully accessible, with gendered accessible washrooms as well as a universal all-gender washroom for anyone who prefers additional privacy or support. The space features step-free access throughout, including elevator and escalator routes to the taproom’s lower level. Ample seating is available to rest and relax. 

The main event takes place on the second floor, which is served by six elevators, each equipped with touch-pad call systems and push-button disability access options, supporting guests with low mobility, low vision, or blindness.

To support a range of sensory and neurological needs, our entertainment and lighting systems have been vetted for their suitability for guests with neurological conditions, including those sensitive to strobing, flashing, or intense visual effects. Care has been taken to ensure a safe, comfortable environment without surprise sensory triggers.

A quiet space will also be available in the lobby/foyer, offering a low-stimulus area for guests who may need a break from sound, light, or crowds at any point during the evening.

(In addition, we offer Described Audio and ASL interpretation upon request. Guests can indicate these needs directly during the ticket-booking process, allowing us to prepare in advance and ensure an inclusive, immersive experience for all who join us for the turning of the season.)

🎃 The Samhain Witches Masquerade - Fantasy Ball at the Fort Garry Place 🕯️
Where the veil thins and magic lingers in the walls...

Step into a realm where ancient magic meets gilded decay at our Samhain Witches’ Masquerade, held within the shadowed halls of the Fort Gary Place a grand 19th-century building situated behind Fort Gary Hotel whispered to be alive with spirits. On this most sacred night of Samhain, when the veil between worlds is at its thinnest, witches, spirits, and masked revellers will gather to honour the old ways, commune with the unseen, and dance with the dead.

What to Expect:
✨ Enchanted masquerade ball in the grand ballroom with live music and entertainment
🕯️ Candlelit ancestral altar and guided Samhain ceremony
🔮 Divination parlor with tarot, runes, and spirit medium readings
🎭 Mask contest with prizes for the most spellbinding, sinister, and surreal designs
🍷 Midnight libations, spiced brews, and otherworldly bites
👻 Ghosts?

Dress in your finest witchy attire. Velvet cloaks, bone jewelry, corsets, antique lace, and, of course, your most bewitching mask. The spirits are waiting... and they do love a good party.

After-Hours Halloween party on Saturday, October 26th from 9pm-1am (18+, valid government issued ID required)
Witches Market on Sunday, October 27 from 12pm - 7pm (all ages)

Two nights of SPOOKTACULAR fun! Witchy vendors, entertainment, costume contest, food & drink, music & more!
Entry is free. Wear a costume, support local vendors and get into the Halloween spirit!

The Wicked Bazaar’s Costume Policy: Please note that to ensure everyone has a fun and safe time, we ask that any part of your costume (costume weapons, props, etc.) does not have the ability to hurt or endanger yourself or other patrons through your own use or through the use of others interacting with your costume. This includes large or oversize props that could knock or hit other patrons and cause injury, whether intentional or not; items that look identical to real-life weapons that may cause harm or genuine fear; culturally offensive or appropriative costumes such as feathered headdresses or blackface. If in doubt, leave it at home. Any oversize props may be temporarily confiscated at security and held by The Wicked Bazaar team for the duration of the event or until you choose to vacate the venue. Any costumes that are culturally offensive or appropriative will be refused entry. We aim to make this a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for everyone; we appreciate your cooperation in making this happen.
